Job Overview:

As an Accounting Technician I, you will be responsible for receiving, scanning, verifying the accuracy of, distributing and processing invoices through the Oracle system, working in a high-volume environment. In this role, you will capture and verify approximately 700 invoices per week. You will demonstrate your excellent customer service as the position will be responsible for communicating with various levels within the organization while operating in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

The schedule for this position is 44/36, Monday through Friday, with every other Friday off. Monday through Thursday, you will work 9 hours per day, and 8 hours per day on every other Friday. Start times are no earlier than 6 am, and end times are no later than 6 pm.

Hybrid Work Schedule:

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California currently practices a hybrid work schedule, which includes two days a week in person and the other days remote. This is subject to change dependent on organizational needs. In addition, a telework policy is scheduled for negotiations and once completed and implemented, will provide final direction on the hybrid schedule.

Employment Standards:

Minimum qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate and two years of relevant experience. Completion of two years of full-time accredited college work in accounting or a related business field may be substituted for one year of related experience. Relevant experience is defined as work experience with accounts payable invoice imaging.
