Job Summary

The Community Relations Director will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to achieve occupancy goals and revenue growth for our community. This role will involve managing community outreach, identifying referral sources, and establishing relationships with potential residents and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Sales and Marketing Strategies
    • Design and execute annual marketing plans to achieve community occupancy goals
    • Identify and develop referral sources, including professional and non-paid referrals
    • Establish relationships with potential residents and their families
  • Manage Community Outreach
    • Conduct walk-in and scheduled tours with prospective residents
    • Provide sales activity reports with documented lead status, closing needs, and next steps
    • Follow-up with all potential residents, referral sources, or interested parties
  • Supervise and Direct Sales Team Members
    • Supervise, direct, and motivate sales team members to achieve sales goals
    • Provide coaching and training to sales team members to improve sales performance
  • Maintain Customer Satisfaction
    • Establish relationships between residents, department heads, and staff to ensure high resident satisfaction
    • Understand community care regulations to ensure proper placement and education to prospects
  • Participate in Outreach Events
    • Participate in and represent the community in outreach events, networking meetings, tradeshows, and other community functions

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
    • 3-5 years experience in senior living, preferably Assisted Living and/or Independent Living sales, hospitality, or healthcare sales
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales goals
    • Ability to manage time effectively, high initiative, and good judgment
    • Demonstrate professional ethics; with a positive attitude, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to motivate others and work within a team environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM
