Power Resource Analyst

Position Overview: The Power Resource Analyst plays a critical role in overseeing various aspects of power market operations, including but not limited to: Power Scheduling, Resource Adequacy, CAISO Market Engagement, Power Risk Management, and Settlement and Accounting Processes for Metropolitan's power resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in power procurement activities associated with Metropolitan's hydroelectric power facilities and federal hydropower entitlements.
- Conduct data-intensive analyses and develop analytical models to summarize operational results.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies at state, regional, and federal levels, including CEC, CARB, CAISO, WECC, and FERC, to ensure compliance with stakeholder procedures and policies.
Work Schedule: 9/80 work schedule, Monday through Friday, with alternating Fridays off.
Employment Standards:
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field, coupled with six years of pertinent experience; or two years in a related classification; or a Master's degree with four years of relevant experience.
Relevant Experience: This includes experience in Power or Natural Gas Trading or Scheduling, Power Settlements, Energy Risk Management, and interaction with regulatory agencies. Administrative or Accounting experience, along with proficiency in analytics using Excel, is also essential.
Certifications and Licenses:
A valid California Class C Driver's License or equivalent is required at the time of application.
