The State Water Resources Control Board is seeking dedicated professionals to join our mission of safeguarding California's water resources. This role may offer flexible telework options, contingent upon the specific needs of the position.
Key Responsibilities
As an Environmental Scientist, you will play a vital role in the 401 Program, focusing on the preservation of water quality across California. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Regulating dredge or fill activities that impact water bodies, including streambeds, lakes, wetlands, and coastal areas.
- Developing and overseeing dredge or fill permits for a variety of projects.
- Acting as a liaison with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) regarding their dredge or fill initiatives.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will demonstrate essential personal attributes such as integrity, initiative, and dependability. The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and perform assigned duties is crucial.
