The Estate/Gift/Trust tax division is in search of a Manager or Senior Manager with substantial experience in servicing high net worth individuals and family offices. This role involves managing multiple client relationships and providing guidance on various individual income, trust, estate, and gift tax consulting and compliance matters. Our Estate/Gift/Trust tax division is distinctive as we frequently collaborate with clients (and their legal advisors as necessary) to provide counsel and structure estate plans, encompassing both charitable and non-charitable gifting, establishing trusts, and formulating income and transfer tax strategies. Alongside consulting, we prepare pertinent tax returns resulting from the execution of these plans. Our professionals gain extensive expertise in the Estate/Gift/Trust specialization through their involvement in both consulting and compliance for these affluent individuals.

Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt LLP operates under a hybrid work model. Employees are expected to work at their designated office a minimum of two days per week, with flexibility for those for whom this is not geographically feasible.

As a Manager in our Tax service line, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering tax compliance and advisory services to High Net Worth Individuals, along with their closely held businesses, trusts, and exempt organizations.
  • Collaborating closely with clients and their advisors to provide insights on income tax matters and related planning.
  • Building and nurturing strong client relationships with client personnel and prospective clients.
  • Identifying and proposing solutions to complex income tax challenges.
  • Possessing experience in individual income tax, gift tax, estate tax, and trust taxation; estate planning experience is advantageous.
  • Exhibiting excellent research capabilities and the ability to investigate intricate tax issues.
  • Ensuring the quality of deliverables.
  • Overseeing the planning and scheduling of engagements.
  • Monitoring workflow.
  • Coaching and mentoring team members.
  • Providing both formal and informal feedback.
To excel in this role, you will need:
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and supervising a team of senior and staff accountants.

  • A valid CPA license.
