Senior Tax Accountant Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our team at Jobot. As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will work directly with clients, building a relationship as a trusted tax specialist and advisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform tax return preparation, filing, tax planning, and tax research functions for a portfolio of small business customers and individuals.
  • Lead a team comprised of Tax Staff Accountants, reviewing work output and providing training as needed.
  • Recognize, anticipate, and proactively address tax issues and opportunities with clients.
  • Review and prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals and corporations with related income tax work papers.
  • Perform tax technical research as needed; prepare memos to document and communicate findings.
  • Review work of other accounting team members to identify training opportunities and systems improvements.

Requirements:

  • Superb working knowledge of US Tax code for small C-corporations and individuals.
  • Ability to concisely and clearly communicate complex issues.
  • Eye for efficiency through software and scalable practices.
  • Desire to make a difference with clients.
