Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Sentara Healthcare. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing patient phlebotomy, collecting and processing patient specimens, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and process patient specimens for testing
  • Perform patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service
  • Register and enter test data accurately and efficiently
  • Monitor supply levels and maintain laboratory equipment
  • Provide internal and external customer inquiry and problem resolution
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Phlebotomy Program or Course completion (or 1 year experience in Phlebotomy)
