We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Eastern State Hospital. As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results, which are essential for providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform processing of laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy and specimen preparation.
- Conduct testing of patient specimens and quality control in Chemistry, Hematology, Serology, and Urinalysis.
- Verify analyzer and reagent integrity through various methods.
- Perform calibrations and analyzer maintenance at scheduled intervals.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures for adult and geriatric patients as needed.
- Graduate with an academic degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science from an accredited institution.
- Meet minimum requirements for working in a high complexity laboratory as determined by federal CLIA regulations.
- Previous experience in a hospital laboratory is highly desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Laboratory Science and successful completion of a certified laboratory program.
- National certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
