About This Role:
We are seeking an experienced Italian Business Development Manager to lead our Italian segment and drive sales growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining established profit margins on accounts, managing monthly bid evaluations, and ensuring delivery of products to customers.

Main Responsibilities:
Some of your key responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining established profit margins on accounts and managing monthly bid evaluations
  • Ensuring delivery of products to customers to meet acceptable customer expectations
  • Establishing and maintaining a profitable member base of assigned member accounts in conjunction with the SVP of Business Development
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with members while promoting local and corporate entities.
  • Maintaining and growing business with existing multi-unit customers.
  • Prospecting for and selling new multi-unit customers where designated.
  • Maintaining relationships with vendor management within their region.
  • Implementing new sales programs and strategies with member base
  • Developing and achieving an annual business plan in conjunction with the SVP of Business Development.
  • Determining pricing strategies at appropriate profit margin levels
  • Monitoring the competition
  • Communicating with customers and personnel regarding process issues
  • Keeping adequate sales records and materials necessary to make professional sales presentations.
  • Maintaining a strong working product knowledge, current product literature, and selling skills.
  • Informing management continually of current market conditions and competitive changes in the marketplace.
  • Attending branch sales meetings, seminars, and other designated meetings, and working with vendor management as directed by the SVP of Business Development.
  • Reviewing market analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates and developing sales campaigns to accommodate goals of company.
  • Establishing yearly goals and objectives with each member in region using independent judgment and discretion.
  • Promoting and selling Preferred Vendor Programs to maximize optimum profitability.
  • Promoting and selling Corporate Brands.
  • Promoting and selling Marketing Programs.
  • Formulating and effectuating Company policy with respect to regional sales functions and managing region using independent judgment
  • Submitting required reports.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the SVP of Business Development or other management.
  • Interfacing with Global Accounts to promote and increase both new and existing account penetration and discretion

Requirements and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • A High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
  • 4 years of foodservice sales / marketing experience.
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine and culture

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
