Role Responsibilities

  • Facilitate smooth patient flow by promptly rooming patients and assisting healthcare providers in maintaining their schedules.
  • Provide an exceptional patient experience by preparing patients for their visits.
  • Collect vital signs, document chief complaints, and review patient medications.
  • Conduct patient screenings in accordance with established protocols.
  • Manage inventory by ordering supplies and ensuring exam rooms are stocked.
  • Perform routine quality control checks, including infection control measures and equipment assessments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in exam rooms, ensuring they are ready for patient visits.
  • Offer telephonic support to patients under the guidance of a registered nurse or provider.
  • Administer vaccinations and perform various procedures as directed.
  • Conduct waived laboratory testing and schedule necessary diagnostic procedures.
  • Assist with the application of durable medical equipment.
  • Participate in care team meetings to enhance patient care and clinic operations.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

The Medical Assistant will report directly to the Practice Manager.

Qualifications

We seek motivated and experienced Registered or Certified Medical Assistants who possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Medical Assistant role.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Medical Assistant certification or registration; over 5 years of relevant experience may substitute this requirement.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Experience working with geriatric patients is preferred.
  • Phlebotomy Technician Certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, accountability, and a positive, adaptable attitude.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other relevant languages is advantageous.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
