About the Role

The Regional Funeral Home Manager will be responsible for managing multiple locations, developing and implementing business plans, monitoring financial performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. You will also be expected to provide guidance and support to frontline staff, develop their skills and knowledge, and promote a positive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and implement annual business plans, working closely with Market Leadership to set financial, production, and revenue goals.
  • Monitor and achieve annual financial targets, understanding industry finances and making sustainable business decisions.
  • Approve expenditures and invoices, including overtime, to ensure effective budget management.
  • Operations:
  • Manage daily activities, ensuring on-time services and exceeding client family expectations.
  • Remove barriers, encourage ideas, and identify improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Resolve moderately complex problems, providing resolution guidance to supervisors and empowering accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and Company policies.
  • Establish location goals and priorities, developing, communicating, and monitoring key performance indicators.
  • People Development:
  • Develop a strong, trusting, and reliable team, understanding individual career aspirations and providing assignments to develop skills and close gaps.
  • Constructively address issues and provide tangible feedback, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Develop frontline supervisors' proactive and collaborative management style, increasing employee engagement and minimizing turnover.
Requirements
  • Education:
  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in the funeral industry, with progressively increased responsibilities.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience managing people and effectively managing budgets and expense control.
  • Certification/License:
  • Applicable state Funeral Director Licensure.
  • Technical schooling diploma in Funeral Services/Mortuary Science preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Knowledge of industry competitive pricing, demographic patterns, and market competition strongly desired.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

Work Environment

This role requires frequent travel to multiple locations, working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and wear personal safety equipment when necessary.
