Housekeeping Assistant

Job Summary

The Colville Tribes are seeking a skilled Housekeeper II to join their team at the Convalescent Center in Nespelem, Washington. As a key member of the Housekeeping Department, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash and recyclables, and restocking supplies.
• Operate and maintain housekeeping equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and mops.
• Assist with laundry and linen services.
• Participate in infection control and prevention initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Lead Housekeeper and Administrator to ensure compliance with facility standards and regulations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of housekeeping practices and long-term care settings.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and make independent decisions.
• Janitorial experience preferred.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 30 pounds to a minimum height of 2 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry said weight a minimum of 20 feet.
