We are looking for an entry-level Laboratory Technician to undertake essential laboratory functions.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to concentrate and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment while ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
This role does not involve analytical lab work. The responsibilities will not include processing hundreds of samples daily on the same equipment. Instead, the position entails assembling custom testing setups, troubleshooting equipment, and developing methodologies.
The technician will engage in project-specific testing of chemicals and will receive cross-training on various testing apparatus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calibrate equipment, prepare samples, and evaluate them in accordance with established protocols.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment to guarantee precise and dependable results.
- Enhance understanding of stimulation and production chemistries to grasp application, testing requirements, and performance optimization parameters. This may involve site visits to understand processes and assist in sample collection.
- Document, analyze, and interpret data while ensuring compliance with data integrity standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, following all safety protocols and regulations.
- Effectively communicate with management to ensure smooth workflow and clarity regarding project goals.
Important Information:
NO RELOCATION
Compensation ranges from $25 to $30, depending on experience.
Working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related discipline; or equivalent laboratory experience.
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency in mathematics is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; familiarity with PowerPoint and Excel is required. A skills assessment will be conducted prior to hiring.
- Ability to work independently.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.
