WS Development is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our properties in Chicago's North Shore. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful operation of our facilities, including managing construction projects, coordinating with vendors, and providing exceptional customer service to our tenants and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operations of our properties, including construction projects, vendor coordination, and customer service.
  • Plan, organize, and monitor the scheduling, completion, and documentation of preventative and corrective maintenance for both tenant and base building related equipment.
  • Build relationships with key local partners and officials, including the building department, fire safety, and police department.
  • Establish good relationships with tenants and provide best-in-class customer service.
  • Work alongside our onsite management team members, tenants, and construction teams to create a healthy onboarding experience for new tenants.
  • Partner with internal construction and development teams to build and maintain our properties, including identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Manage the property's common area maintenance (CAM) budget and critically evaluate financial trade-offs.
  • Responsible for overseeing the construction process related to tenant build-outs and building development on property.
  • Prepare reports after site visits to highlight progress, concerns, and onsite conversations.
  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities, including daily check-ins with contractors and attending weekly owner, architect, and contractor (OAC) meetings.

  • Occasional out-of-state travel is required.

Education and Experience
  • College degree required.
  • Experience in property management, construction, or store management preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving workplace.
