Job Description

At Chronos Consulting, we are seeking a highly skilled Materials & Corrosion Engineer to join our team in Japan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science and corrosion engineering, with a focus on the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement materials selection and corrosion control strategies for oil and gas facilities
  • Conduct material testing and analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement RBI (Risk-Based Inspection) programs
  • Provide technical guidance on welding methods and non-destructive testing
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in materials science and corrosion engineering
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in materials science and corrosion engineering, preferably in the oil and gas industry
  • Strong knowledge of API RP and ASME Sec. VIII
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
