Job Description

At Chronos Consulting, we are seeking a highly skilled Materials & Corrosion Engineer to join our team in Japan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials used in the oil & gas industry, including knowledge of material types, properties, and degradation/corrosion damage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement materials management strategies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct risk-based inspections (RBI) to identify potential corrosion and degradation issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement welding and non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance on material selection, testing, and analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in materials engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of ASME Sec. VIII and API RP standards.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
