Job Description

Chronos Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Materials & Corrosion Engineer to join our team in Japan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials used in the oil & gas field, including knowledge of degradation/corrosion damage and RBI according to API.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement materials selection and corrosion control strategies for oil & gas projects.
  • Conduct risk-based inspections and testing to identify potential corrosion issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on materials-related matters.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in materials engineering, with a focus on oil & gas.
  • Strong knowledge of API RP and ASME Sec. VIII.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
