Job Title: Clerical Assistant
Birmingham City Schools is seeking a skilled Clerical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing administrative tasks, serving as the initial point of contact with visitors, and providing support with record keeping and database management. This role requires effective time management, documentation, and organizational skills. Additionally, the candidate should maintain confidentiality, professionalism, discretion, and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform general receptionist duties
• Manage online database platform for attendance, enrollment, and student academic records
• Maintain inventory of office supplies and complete purchasing processes
• Process requests for student information between schools/districts and outside agencies
• Participate in professional development trainings
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of related experience
Salary Information
This position offers a salary range of $25,239 - $33,942 based on Classified Schedule #1 Level 4.
