Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Interventional Radiology Technologist to work in our state-of-the-art imaging department. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating angiographic equipment, assisting with basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate angiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures, including biopsies, para/thoracentesis, abscess drainages, and peripheral vascular stenting.
  • Assist with basic interventional and surgical procedures, receiving direction from attending and resident physicians.
  • Monitor patients and alert staff of life-threatening changes in patient status, applying the defibrillator and performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation when required.
  • Identify and process images, ensuring diagnostic quality, and assist clinical engineering staff in evaluating digital equipment.
  • Compare requisitions to physician orders to ensure exam accuracy and post-process images as directed.
  • Maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, utilizing proper technique and adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months, unless department leader has determined it is not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Radiologic Technology.
  • Experience in interventional radiology or a related field.
