About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Counselor to join our team at Eckerd Youth Alternatives. As a Youth Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing guidance and support to at-risk youth in our residential program.

Your primary responsibility will be to create a positive and supportive environment that fosters the growth and development of our clients. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to at-risk youth in a residential setting
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure the success of each youth
  • Provide crisis intervention and physical restraint techniques as needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least two years of experience working with youth in a therapeutic or rehabilitative setting
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance
  • Valid driver's license or state identification

About Our Program

Eckerd Youth Alternatives' Girls Short-Term Juvenile Justice Residential Program is a gender-responsive, complete rehabilitative experience delivered in 4 to 6 months for girls ages 12-17. Our program assists young women in learning the skills and tools needed to successfully re-integrate with their families and back into their communities.
