Job Title: Operations Supervisor Diesel Mechanics

Ryder System is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our diesel mechanics shop, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our team is equipped to meet the demands of the job.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Workflow Management: Responsible for work analysis, planning, and scheduling, as well as productivity tracking and optimization.
  • Labor Management: Provides management, training, and development of all personnel assigned.
  • Customer Management: Responsible for customer relationship management, including issue resolutions, customer satisfaction, and retention.
  • Asset Management: Directs direct reports in maintaining the appearance and maintenance of assigned location, including sustaining 65 standards in all relevant shop areas of responsibility.
  • Quality Management: Responsible for quality inspections of PM & repairs, as well as performing in-process reviews of non-PM work.
  • Financial Management: Responsible for ensuring shift/shop delivers against net maintenance cost per unit objectives without sacrificing quality, safety, or customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • H.S. diploma/GED required.
  • Associate's degree preferred or 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required.
  • Maintenance and technical experience in a shop environment required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with a shop management system preferred.
Compensation:

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, education, work location, market data/ranges, internal equity, internal salary ranges, etc.

Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type: Salaried

Minimum Pay Range: $64,000

Maximum Pay Range: $68,000 plus yearly incentive opportunities.

The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type.
