Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic problems
- Perform standard component inspections and repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint
- Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
- Work in accordance with all federal and corporate compliance guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
- Basic tools, required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
- Hourly Pay: $26.00 per hour
- Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700
- Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year
- Sign On Bonus: Ryder Pays You $2000 at 30 days and $2000 at 90 days
- Annual Merit Pay Increases Every Year
