Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic issues, and ensuring our fleet of heavy duty vehicles is in top condition.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic issues with heavy duty vehicles
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions
- Utilize Shop Management System and electronic documentation to track work and maintain accurate records
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
- Ability to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire
- Pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, and Ryder road test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Competitive hourly pay rate

- Sign-on bonus of $2000 at 30 days and $2000 at 90 days
