  • Inspects materials for any damage, documenting any defective items and escalating concerns to the supervisor and Quality Control team.
  • Monitors inventory levels to ensure that necessary materials are available for efficient production processes, facilitating uninterrupted operations.
  • Utilizes an RF scanner to accurately track and verify multiple orders and quantities of products being moved.
  • Organizes products in storage areas such as bins, pallets, shelves, or racks based on identifying information like item number, size, or product type.
  • Handles the movement and transportation of materials, supplies, and finished goods in and out of production areas using appropriate equipment.
  • Performs adjustments or repairs on products or materials in stock as needed.
  • Establishes effective storage methods, identification, and stock locations, taking into account factors such as temperature, humidity, weight limits, and space requirements.
  • Provides training to new employees on fundamental manufacturing processes within the department.
  • Actively engages in root cause analysis and participates in continuous improvement initiatives, offering suggestions for enhancements.
  • Completes all required documentation accurately and honestly.
  • Adheres to safety protocols, GMP standards, and SOPs/WIs relevant to the work area.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT

Promotes a culture of safety in production and demonstrates safe work practices. Participates actively in safety programs and provides constructive feedback on safety performance. Reports all workplace incidents to the supervisor immediately and communicates any concerns or hazards. Properly utilizes, wears, and stores Personal Protective Equipment as required. Engages in safety teams and activities as part of regular job duties.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Previous experience operating powered pallet jacks and/or Interthor stackers is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment adhering to GMP standards, particularly in food or pharmaceuticals, is desirable.
PERFORMANCE ABILITY

Demonstrated ability to consistently meet quality, safety, and efficiency objectives. Strong problem-solving skills are required. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Exhibits a strong sense of urgency and flexibility to adapt to changing tasks. Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with others, along with a keen attention to detail. Capable of training other employees on basic manufacturing processes.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficient in reading and understanding instructions, correspondence, and memos, including safety rules and operating procedures. Capable of accurately completing sanitation and production paperwork.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Strong problem-solving capabilities.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Basic computer and data entry skills are required.
  • Ability to obtain certification for operating powered pallet jacks and Interthor stackers is necessary.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
