We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team at Stalwart Manufacturing LLC. As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for operating machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders to produce precision metal or plastic parts.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret drawings to ensure accurate production of parts.
- Use precision tools, machinery, and equipment to meet tolerance requirements and pre-inspect parts before, during, and after each operation.
- Fabricate and shape tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics, and composites.
- Properly and safely select tooling, set up machine, use dial indicators, align, secure, and install and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
- Recognize, deploy, and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
- Perform daily and regular cleaning and maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
- Comply with all ISO 9001:2015 quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
- Operate the overhead cranes and forklift effectively and safely.
- Cross-train worker teams for maximum production flexibility.
- Assist with other duties as requested by direct supervisor, administration, or management team.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 3-5 years of proven experience working with Manual machines.
- Effective communication skills through written and verbal communications in all interfaces with customers/public, fellow employees, vendors, etc.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to adapt and learn as programs and processes change.
- Ability to work as a team member and exert initiative to work independently to reach a goal.
- Ability to function effectively as a team player.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, as needed, to best serve our customers and business operations.
