Key Responsibilities
- HR Process Enhancement: Work alongside the HR team to pinpoint areas for process enhancement and efficiency. Engage in the creation and execution of new HR initiatives, including performance management frameworks, employee engagement strategies, and talent acquisition plans.
- HRIS Support: Provide troubleshooting assistance for HRIS and serve as backup support for HR and Payroll administration.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Facilitate the recruitment process by aiding in job postings, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting background verifications. Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees, including orientation sessions and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
- Project Management: Assist HR leadership in the planning, organization, and execution of HR projects. Help develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables while monitoring progress and addressing any emerging issues or risks.
- HR Program Administration: Execute routine tasks necessary for administering human resource programs, encompassing compensation, benefits, leave management, disciplinary actions, disputes, performance management, employee recognition, occupational health and safety, and training.
- Employee Relations: Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Disciplinary Procedures: Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake any other duties as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- A minimum of two years of experience in human resources is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of leave requirements and legal protections under FMLA, ADA, and other relevant laws.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
- Completion of specialized training or certification in FMLA/leave administration is a plus.
