Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
  • Manage reconciliations, journal entries, and other close-related tasks while ensuring compliance with US GAAP standards.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to the Senior Accountant, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to streamline accounting operations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, managing quarterly and annual audit requirements, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial data and analysis.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably with experience at a Big 4 accounting firm in an assurance / audit role as well as high-growth technology startups in an accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting concepts (e.g. revenue recognition).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, with a preference for NetSuite.
  • Experience undergoing annual financial statement audits in a meaningful role.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage and streamline financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a high-growth environment.
