Position Overview

At Sportime Clubs, LLC, we take pride in providing exceptional sports and educational experiences. Our Eager Explorers Daycare is dedicated to nurturing preschool-aged children through engaging and developmentally appropriate activities. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Lead Teacher to join our team and contribute to our mission of fostering lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement lesson plans in collaboration with the daycare director.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for all children.
  • Prepare educational materials and curriculum for daily lessons.
  • Organize classroom tools such as bulletin boards and cubbies.
  • Adhere to all regulations set forth by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services.
  • Support and mentor additional staff members in the classroom.
  • Stay informed about NYS OCFS daycare regulations.
  • Encourage children's independence and self-sufficiency.
  • Assist with potty training as necessary.
  • Supervise children effectively to ensure their safety.
  • Maintain appropriate child-to-teacher ratios.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and administrative staff.
  • Lead a small team of classroom teachers.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive learning environment.
  • Close the classroom at the end of the day, ensuring all tasks are completed.
  • Participate in and lead mandatory training sessions throughout the year.
  • Engage in play and interactive activities with children.
Qualifications
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent listening and observational skills.
  • Experience in managing a classroom with effective behavior techniques.
  • Creative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Familiarity with curriculum planning resources.
  • Minimum education requirement: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; CDA with one year of experience working with children under 13, or pursuing an education degree with two years of experience with children under 13.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $20 - $24 per hour, based on education and experience.
