About the Role

We are working with a leading offshore wind developer in the US to find an Environmental Compliance Specialist to join their growing team. This person will support environmental compliance planning and management throughout the project lifecycle while working across teams including permitting and construction specialists.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure project adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations throughout all phases of offshore wind development
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to secure necessary environmental permits and approvals
  • Monitor environmental impact assessments, mitigation measures, and post-construction compliance
  • Conduct site audits, reporting, and corrective actions to address non-compliance or environmental concerns
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate environmental compliance strategies into project planning and execution
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in environmental compliance, ideally within the renewable energy or offshore wind sector
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including NEPA, BOEM, and marine wildlife protections
  • Proven experience with environmental permitting, assessments, and regulatory agency coordination
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
