Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Specialist to join our team at National Experienced Workforce Solutions. As an Environmental Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through a grant administered program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct enforcement inspections under the Emergency Planning & Community Right-To-Know Act (EPCRA) and the Clean Air Act (CAA) Section 112 (r)
  • Provide expert level scientific and independent support by participating in Chemical Accident Prevention activities
  • Develop and maintain inspection files, data analysis, and enforcement activities tracking
  • Provide technical assistance and outreach for EPCRA and CAA 112 (r) programs
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in chemical related manufacturing, sales, or distribution, or a BA/BS Degree in Chemistry/Biology or Engineering
  • Strong writing and organizational skills, proficiency in data analysis and tracking software, and experience with Windows, MS Office, and SharePoint
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions
  • Travel requirements: up to 25 days per year, including overnight travel and air travel
  • Health and safety considerations: 40 hours safety and health training is a prerequisite for the position
  • Required safety gear: hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, chemical-resistant gloves, and fire-resistant clothing
