Job Summary:

The Dishwasher at the Marina Bar & Grill plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and equipment, while also ensuring general cleanliness throughout the work area. This role requires working both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in varying weather conditions. The Dishwasher will work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely cleaning during service periods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean dishes, kitchen utensils, and equipment using manual and mechanical cleaning methods.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing station, kitchen, and back-of-house areas.
  • Dispose of trash and recycling properly, ensuring the kitchen and service areas remain organized and free of debris.
  • Assist with sweeping and mopping kitchen floors, cleaning surfaces, and sanitizing equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
  • Handle outdoor duties, including cleaning and organization of outdoor kitchen equipment and areas.
  • Provide assistance to kitchen staff as needed during peak times or special events.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs.
  • Must be able to work in a hot, humid, and noisy kitchen environment.
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in various natural elements, including heat, humidity, rain, and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions, including washing and scrubbing items.
  • May be required to assist with basic maintenance tasks around the outdoor kitchen area.
Qualifications:
  • Previous dishwashing experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
