ChildNet, Inc. is a dedicated, non-profit organization focused on community-based care (CBC) for children in need. We are engaged with the State of Florida's Department of Children and Families to deliver essential case management services to children who have faced abuse, abandonment, or neglect. Our agency is nationally recognized by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and has a workforce of over 450 professionals.

Role Summary: This position is integral in supporting case management through the licensing and re-licensing processes for both relative and non-relative kinship placements.

  • Conduct comprehensive level one licensing assessments for all interested relative and non-relative placements.
  • Perform annual re-licensing evaluations for all previously licensed relative and non-relative homes.
  • Facilitate necessary training sessions to support the level one licensing and re-licensing processes.
  • Ensure timely, complete, and accurate submission of initial and re-licensing assessments to the licensing department.
  • Provide ongoing support to level one licensed relatives and non-relatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with Kinship Support Specialists to address and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Notify level one licensed relatives and non-relatives well in advance regarding documentation required for initial licensing and re-licensing.
  • Assist relatives and non-relatives in identifying and evaluating natural supports to aid in caregiving responsibilities.
  • Document all case-related activities in the FSFN system within 48 hours of occurrence.
  • Engage in statewide discussions concerning level one licensing, including participation in workgroups and providing constructive feedback to enhance the process.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Human Services or Child Welfare programs.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.
  • Certification as a Child Welfare Professional.
