We are currently seeking a dedicated Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our esteemed Blood Cancer Unit. This is a full-time position with significant long-term prospects.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care within our oncology department. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing services to patients diagnosed with blood cancers.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this role is $47.40. Our employee benefits package includes health insurance options (medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) retirement plan, and paid sick leave, depending on the work location.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of acute care nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Prior experience in oncology within an acute care setting, cancer center, or medical facility is required.
  • Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Possession of a current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or a Compact Registered Nursing License is mandatory. If holding a Compact License, a Texas license must be secured within 90 days of employment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required as per healthcare policy.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within the first year of employment.
  • Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Provider card is necessary within the first 6 months of hire.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and/or Blood & Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCN) certifications are preferred.
  • Shift differentials include $4.00 for night shifts, $2.00 for weekends, and $3.00 for specialty pay.
