Key Responsibilities- Telephone Management: Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that all callers are treated with respect and dignity.
- Guest and Visitor Management: Greet and receive guests, volunteers, and visitors in a warm and welcoming manner, ensuring that they feel valued and respected.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule appointments with the Case Worker for all social service callers and guests, ensuring that all appointments are scheduled in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communication and Correspondence: Check and respond to voicemails daily, returning and forwarding calls as needed, and ensuring that all correspondence is handled in a professional and timely manner.
- Office Administration: Maintain the front office in a clean and organized manner, ensuring that all supplies are stocked and that the office is well-equipped to meet the needs of our staff and visitors.
- Donations and Fundraising: Receive and process donations, ensuring that all donations are properly recorded and acknowledged.
- Support to Corps Officers: Provide administrative support to our Corps Officers, including preparing reports, making travel arrangements, and performing other tasks as assigned.
- Confidentiality and Discretion: Maintain the confidentiality and discretion required for this position, ensuring that all sensitive information is handled in a professional and secure manner.
- Compliance and Adherence: Ensure that all duties are performed in compliance with Salvation Army policies and regulations, and that all tasks are completed in a manner that reflects the values and mission of The Salvation Army.
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in an office environment.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong phone skills, English and Spanish speaking skills, comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance, excellent interpersonal skills, punctual with strong attendance history, and understanding of the mission of The Salvation Army.
