Position Overview:
  • Execute advanced restoration, renovation, and maintenance tasks within a designated skilled trade.
  • Manage renovation, restoration, alterations, inspections, adjustments, installations, maintenance, and repairs of facilities, utility systems, and stationary equipment.
  • Complete documentation related to work orders, projects, and material requests.
  • Serve as a lead worker, offering training and mentorship to team members.
  • Perform additional assigned responsibilities, including involvement in disaster response and recovery initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain regular attendance and adhere to assigned schedules.
  • Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repair activities on building systems.
  • Repair and maintain components related to fire alarm and sprinkler systems, carpentry, painting, and electrical work.
  • Design and implement projects that comply with relevant codes and standards.
  • Identify necessary materials, tools, and workforce for projects.
  • Provide oversight and direction for construction, maintenance, or repair projects.
  • Ensure safe operations and maintain uninterrupted services.
  • Operate machinery and vehicles as required.
  • Train personnel on repair protocols and maintain training documentation.
  • Inspect contractor work to verify compliance with standards.
  • Complete material requisitions, calculate costs, and order supplies as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Comprehensive understanding of building maintenance, repair, and operations.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of industrial safety and fire regulations.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and sketches.
  • Strong organizational skills for preventive maintenance initiatives.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
