Job Title: Senior Maintenance Technician

Join our team as a Senior Maintenance Technician at Sycamore Springs, a multifamily community. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our residents and ensuring the overall quality of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare make-ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, and general repairs, to provide a quality move-in experience for our residents.
  • Assist the Property Manager with maintaining daily, weekly, or monthly inspection logs on mechanicals and equipment.
  • Participate in Move-In, Move-Out, and Annual Apartment Inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Perform hands-on maintenance tasks, including building mechanical systems, fire systems, and property grounds.
  • Supervise maintenance staff and vendors to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Respond to resident requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of maintenance functions, including plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, general carpentry skills, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities.
  • Be available for on-call scheduling to respond to after-hours emergencies.
  • Report any maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Perform maintenance tasks as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Stay up-to-date on state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
  • Attend and participate in training programs as required by Cushman & Wakefield.
  • Perform all duties in a timely manner and deliver superior customer service.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's license, EPA 608 - Minimum Type II, and CPO or local city required certificate.
  • Ability to read and understand documents, including policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and prepare and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in routine situations.
  • Ability to utilize common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Follow all safety procedures.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. Regularly required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time. They must be able to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools and may be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.
