Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled DME Customer Care Representative to join our team at Health First. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for processing new DME orders, determining medical necessity, and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process referrals from hospitals, provider offices, and other referral sources
  • Review medical records for accurate documentation and verify insurance benefits
  • Respond to customer inquiries and create delivery documentation as needed
  • Assist customers in a caring and knowledgeable manner, representing Health First as a skilled healthcare professional
  • Coordinate delivery of equipment with DME technicians and supervisors
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture and positive work environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 months of customer service experience
  • Successful completion of Level II background screening
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in a healthcare environment
  • Working knowledge of medical insurance and medical terminology
Physical Requirements

This role requires sitting at a computer for long periods of time, with occasional walking and standing. Ability to enter information using hand/wrist dexterity is also required.
