Nuclear Power Plant Systems Engineer Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Power Plant Systems Engineer to join our team at Sargent & Lundy. As a member of our Nuclear Power Group, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for nuclear power plants. This is a full-time position based in Richland, WA, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.

About the Role
The Nuclear Power Plant Systems Engineer will be involved in various aspects of nuclear power plant systems design, including preparation and review of modification packages, functional mechanical drawings, engineering analyses, and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, experience working with nuclear power plant systems, and knowledge of relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed designs for nuclear power plant systems, including mechanical components and piping layouts
- Prepare and review documentation for construction and commissioning of nuclear power plant systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration of mechanical systems into overall plant design

What You'll Need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- At least 5 years of experience in the nuclear power industry
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and nuclear power plant systems
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations applicable to mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plants
