Spencer Ogden is supporting a leading client in the nuclear power sector with their search for an experienced project scheduler. This role offers a 1-year W2 contract, potentially extending beyond that period. The successful candidate must be prepared to work on-site five days a week.

Candidates can either be senior or staff level schedulers, with varying levels of experience. Salary ranges are provided below:

Staff: $60-$70/hour

Senior: $71-$79/hour

This role presents numerous benefits and challenges, including:

Mob/demob compensation ($400-$2000 depending on distance from the plant)

$185/day per diem allowance

Medical & dental coverage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing schedules for nuclear or engineering projects, outlining dates, times, and sequences
  • Maintaining schedules between Passport and Primavera tools
  • Supporting project managers in creating detailed schedules for online, outage, and lifecycle projects, including enterprise risk management
  • Resolving schedule conflicts and ensuring adherence to timelines
  • Contributing to the development of long-term project schedules

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, nuclear engineering, or technology) with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's degree with 10+ years of experience, or a High school diploma/GED with 12+ years of experience in nuclear power generation
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera Scheduling and basic scheduling techniques
  • Primavera 106 Training Certification or 4+ years of experience using Primavera
  • Report development skills (Crystal Reports) and database analysis
  • PMP certification
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • SRO License or Certification
  • Advanced knowledge of outage work processes, Passport program, and Paragon risk management software
  • Able to solve complex scheduling issues and collaborate cross-functionally with teams
