Behavioral Health Nurse

Masonicare is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Nurse to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care to emotionally disturbed and/or mentally ill patients. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assuming professional responsibility and accountability for a group of residents/patients
- Administering and noting reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications
- Assisting clients in understanding the nature of emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and patients
- Testing for vital signs of pain and ensuring treatments of pain
Requirements:
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Current RN or LPN license in the State of Connecticut, in good standing
- Minimum one year clinical experience, preferably in an acute and/or Behavioral Health capacity
