Information System Security Specialist

Cyber threats are a constant concern for government agencies, making it challenging to understand and mitigate risks. As an information security risk specialist, you'll work with clients to break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.
You'll use your experience to review technical, environmental, and personnel details supporting the information system to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you'll support the development of mitigations, document risks, and continually assess system risk. Your expertise will help clients translate security concepts into actionable decisions to secure their information systems and reduce their attack surface.
Key Responsibilities- Implement or assess security controls within an information system
- Develop and maintain risk management frameworks
- Collaborate with information systems owners, risk managers, and security professionals to ensure the implementation, identification, and tracking of security control implementation within an information system
- Monitor progress of remediation and provide recommendations for improvement
- 5+ years of experience working with information technology (IT) or within the cybersecurity field
- Top Secret clearance
- Associate's degree
- DoD 8570 compliant Information Assurance Management Level I or higher Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137, annualized USD.
