Maintenance Technician Job Description

At Carefree of Colorado, we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the facilities in a safe, professional, and well-kept condition.
  • Ensure that all equipment is operating in a safe manner as prescribed by the Maintenance Manager or by the equipment manufacturers' guidelines.
  • Maintain all manufacturing infrastructure to support production goals of optimum quality, minimum scrap, and optimum labor efficiencies.
  • Keep updated and well-trained on all new equipment implemented by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in the construction, implementation, and training on all new equipment as needed.
  • Assist the Maintenance Manager in the construction and implementation of work aids, tooling, and fixtures as needed.
  • Maintain the physical condition of our plant, property, and equipment.
  • Communicate and problem-solve with employees of varying knowledge bases to diagnose and correct equipment issues.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in repair and maintenance of production machinery.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and gain familiarity with new types of equipment.
  • Ability to work independently in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various equipment.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, control systems, multi-phase electrical wiring, and hydraulics is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with industrial sewing machines, sergers, tackers, and fabric cutting equipment is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to weld, operate mills & lathes, build work aids & fixtures, and general building maintenance is preferred.
  • Demonstrated reliability and commitment to helping the organization succeed.
Compensation and Benefits:

The starting salary range for this position is anticipated to be from $1,923.08 to $2,307.69 bi-weekly.
