Residents contribute only thirty percent of their earnings towards housing costs, while the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) covers the remaining expenses. These community living spaces vary in size, accommodating between 22 to 257 units, each featuring a private kitchen and comfortable living areas that promote independent living.
Position: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Status: Full-Time
Compensation: $14.42 - $15.50 per hour
Location: Broomfield, CO
Key Responsibilities:
As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, your primary duties will encompass the following:
- Ensure the upkeep of Silvercrest properties and equipment, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness while adhering to safety protocols through regular inspections.
- Interior Maintenance - Clean and polish communal areas as instructed by the supervisor, which includes vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, and waxing floors, walls, ceilings, and light fixtures.
- Remove stains from various surfaces such as carpets, curtains, walls, and floors using appropriate cleaning agents.
- Exterior Maintenance - Oversee outdoor areas, including sweeping parking lots, sidewalks, and cleaning shared patios and grounds, as well as seasonal tasks like raking leaves and mowing lawns.
- Handle heavy items, including appliances and furniture, to facilitate cleaning processes.
- Perform minor repair tasks, such as changing light bulbs or conducting small painting jobs.
- Assist maintenance staff with various tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate records and reports as mandated by the supervisor in a timely manner.
- Comply with company safety standards and practices.
- Represent The Salvation Army positively and professionally by fostering good relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies related to the building or residents.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
