Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Adjunct Faculty member to teach GED/Adult Basic Education-Career Preparation courses at Lone Star College. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

This is a part-time, semester-by-semester position, contingent upon student demand. Instructors may teach at various times and locations, including day, evening, and weekend classes.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to academic excellence, exceptional service, and providing a dynamic climate for life-long learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach GED/Adult Basic Education-Career Preparation courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
Requirements

  • At least 3 years of related work experience in desired teaching area
