**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated Fleet Inventory Coordinator to join our team at the Genuine Parts Company.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices, as well as excellent communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assume responsibility for inventory protection, asset management, and operational issues within the fleet garage.
  • Ensure proper processes and procedures are utilized to minimize inventory shrinkage and maximize efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to partners and customers, responding to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Fulfill all work order requests from customers by utilizing approved vendors and suppliers.
  • Review daily reporting to ensure fill rate requirements are met, making adjustments as necessary to optimize inventory levels.
  • E nsure that site personnel are using approved non-company line codes appropriately.
  • Perform bar coding and stockroom organization tasks to maintain accurate and efficient inventory tracking.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the site, stock room, and outside areas, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Immediately inform management of customer sales/service concerns and address them promptly.
  • Collaborate with the local management team to handle daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation items according to policy and procedure guidelines.
  • Understand, interpret, and comply with Company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Parts knowledge in any of the following industries: Automotive, Heavy Duty, Transit, Fire, EMS, Police, Refuse, Agricultural, GSE, Marine, Industrial.
  • ASE Certification(s) P1 and/or P2 preferred.
  • Strong personal drive and ability to source hard-to-find items.
  • Ability to source hard-to-find items using internet search, catalogs, blueprints, etc.
  • Bilingual, Spanish preferred but not required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Federal background check is required.

Work Environment:

This position requires working Monday-Friday, 7:00 am-4:30 pm, with occasional emergency situations that may require extended hours, weekends, or around-the-clock coverage.

Candidates should be comfortable working in a fleet shop environment, possibly without air conditioning. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles while performing duties.

The job involves standing and walking for entire shifts, lifting and moving parts and boxes up to 60 pounds, bending or stooping to floor-level shelves, and reaching upper shelves (eight feet) when necessary.

The salary for this position is $$65,000 - $75,000 per year, based on location and experience.
