Fleet Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

The Fleet Mechanic position at Banko Overhead Doors is responsible for ensuring the optimal working condition of fleet vehicles to support company operations. This role requires performing routine maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and repairing vehicles in-house and on-site as needed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and other necessary services.
  • Analyze and repair battery, lighting, and mechanical problems efficiently.
  • Travel to job sites in company vehicles to assess and repair fleet vehicle needs in the field.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on fleet vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Communicate regularly with the Fleet Manager regarding vehicle status and repair requirements.
  • Perform tire replacements and minor adjustments as necessary.
  • Stay updated on the latest vehicle technologies and repair techniques.
  • Ensure the availability and proper maintenance of required tools and equipment.
  • Assist in managing the inventory of vehicle parts and supplies.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or technical school certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in fleet maintenance and repair is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics, transmissions, and engine diagnostics.
  • Excellent driving record and ability to travel in company vehicles.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with the Fleet Manager and team members.
  • Able to work independently and manage time efficiently.
