Job Summary:

As a Principal Technology Development Engineer at Polar Semiconductor, you will play a key role in the development and transfer of new semiconductor technology and processes. Your expertise in semiconductor device physics and process integration will be instrumental in contributing to the development of reliable, manufacturable BCD, Discrete, MEMS, and optoelectronics devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and perform process and device simulations to determine initial process parameters and capabilities.

• Design and perform experiments to determine process sequences and parameters that will yield target device parameters.

• Analyze data from the fabrication of test lots to determine which parameters require additional optimization.

• Work with Process Engineering to develop, characterize, and optimize process modules.

• Support the processing of initial test chip and transfer lots to identify and correct problem areas and achieve first-pass success.

• Provide inputs to and work with Device Engineers to develop layout rules for the process being developed.

• Recommend test structures for and contribute to the layout of test chip mask sets to aid in developing the new process and evaluating specific process-dependencies of device parameters.

• Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly development updates to upper management and external customers.

Requirements:

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Material Science.

• 5+ years of experience in a relevant job function.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to hazardous chemicals, high voltages, and high equipment temperatures.

Training Requirements:

Corporate and department orientations, Annual Right-To-Know, Annual Hazardous Waste Management, Annual EMS Training, ESD Awareness, Clean room procedures.
