About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate Hospice Music Therapist to join our extraordinary care team at Residential Home Health and Hospice. As a key member of our team, you will partner with our field staff and leaders to provide exceptional support to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional music therapy in accordance with company protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Inform and educate patients, staff, and facility partners about music therapy.
  • Establish therapy objectives as part of the patient assessment.
  • Plan, review, and assess therapy sessions to monitor effectiveness.
  • Take an active role in sessions by playing instruments, singing, and listening.
  • Encourage patients to participate in sessions and support them with musical responses.
  • Support patients' creative development and facilitate positive changes in their behavior and well-being.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Music Therapy degree.
  • Current Board certified (MT-BC) credential according to U.S. Certification Board for Music Therapists.
  • State music therapy licensing where required.
  • At least six months of work/education experience with geriatric healthcare.
  • At least six months of work/education experience with end-of-life/terminal illness healthcare.
