About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate Hospice Music Therapist to join our team at Kaplan. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing music therapy to patients in their final stages of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide music therapy sessions to patients in accordance with company protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Develop and implement individualized music therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless integration of music therapy into patient care.
  • Conduct music therapy sessions in a variety of settings, including hospitals, hospices, and private residences.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes in a thorough and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Music Therapy degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current Board certified (MT-BC) credential according to U.S. Certification Board for Music Therapists.
  • State music therapy licensing where required.
  • At least six (6) months of work/education experience with geriatric health care.
  • At least six (6) months of work/education experience with end-of-life/terminal illness health care.
