Position Overview

AECOM is seeking a dedicated Inspector to oversee our paving projects. This role involves ensuring quality and compliance on various transportation initiatives, including highways and airports. The majority of the work will be conducted during nighttime hours, specifically from 10 PM to 6 AM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough construction administration and inspection activities.
  • Coordinate effectively with the Project Manager, Design Team, Contractors, and Owners to facilitate project management.
  • Monitor and document work progress through accurate field measurements.
  • Engage in extensive fieldwork, with a significant focus on airport project sites.
  • Prepare and interpret construction specifications in alignment with FAA Advisory Circular 150/ and State regulations.
  • Generate detailed reports, schedules, and quantity takeoffs.
  • Collect and analyze relevant data to support various construction phases.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil engineering, architecture, and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure all work adheres to established budgets and timelines.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to successfully pass background checks for airport identification badge acquisition.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Capability to work in both office and field environments for extended hours.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating effectively in English.
